Design process

Clients come to me with projects ranging from small design consulting assignments to full-scale new construction projects. Though they all want one thing: good ideas and surprising design solutions that delight, while checking all the boxes. No matter the clients or scope of work, my emphasis thought out any project is to establish close working communication all based around three important steps:

Phase 1

Understanding you, your project, and the objective: We’ll want to get to know each other, so we’ll meet at your home or your project site to learn about how you live and your expectations. We’ll identify the scope and fees for the project and with your approval, we get started.

Your input is invaluable so you’ll want to share your ideas through photos, websites, social media, or magazines.

Phase 2

After gathering everything we need to draft, design and source expect to see several ideas that bring your vision to life. This is the fun part. You will get a feel for your project from detailed CAD drawings to design schemes with samples of architectural finishes, lighting, furniture, textiles and paint selections.

Phase 3

It’s go time. Construction begins, orders are placed, and everyone is focused on the details. This is a hand on approach with full support overseeing construction administration and project coordination to ensure everything goes to plan.
