In this intimate den, we moved away from the airy neutrals of the main living areas to create a space that feels like a warm embrace. By "color drenching" the room in a rich, saturated blue—carrying the hue from the custom millwork and built-ins across the walls and trim—we blurred the boundaries of the space to make it feel infinitely cozy rather than small.

The velvet textures and deep tones create a sophisticated backdrop for quiet afternoons or evening conversation. This retreat serves as a bold, moody counterpoint to the rest of the home, proving that coastal design can dive into deeper waters while remaining timeless and refined.
